Stay off the water if you value your life boys! I just bought my 1st boat Very Happy It is a 15’ 9" Duratech aluminum v hull and it came with the trailer. The whole package for $400. The trailer lights work on it and could use some new carpet on 2 of the pads. The boat has a 70” beam. This is easily the widest v-hull boat that I have seen lol. I am planning on putting a deck on it over the winter. The deck might be as big as some bass boats I have fished off of with how big it is up front. The boat did not come with an outboard or trolling motor so those are on my to buy list as well. I would like to get something around the 20-30hp range for the outboard. I am going to save my Christmas money and try and find a 70lb thrust trolling motor as well. I would love to put a decent fish finder on it in due time but it is not at the top of my list right now. Would love to get a used Humminbird 598si but I don’t know if I would be able to afford one before spring with the other purchases I am going to make ahead of it. If anyone has a decent fish finder or trolling motor they are thinking about getting rid of let me know.

I don’t have any pics just yet since it was too dark tonight for me to take any pics. I am hopefully going to get some pics up tomorrow.

A big thanks to Pickle on going out and looking at the boat with me and helping me get it to it's new home!

Congratulations. It will look a lot better when you scrape that hawkeye shirt off it

Looks good Jake, have fun building it like you want it. I would get rid of that Hawkeye hood ornament up front first thing Smile

I think there is a correlation between them yellow and black rigs and their owners knowing how to catch fish better than the owners with red rigs Twisted Evil

Can I wipe off the Hawkeye logo with the tears of your fellow Husker fans after yesterday's game? There should be more than enough for me to do it Mr. Green

Ah... I think there is a game coming up (in two weeks) that should settle this debate.

Why jinx your boat with the ugly hawkeye head before you even put it in water

Pretty sweet looking boat Jake.. Strap a 60hp tiller to it and get DQ for waking at the nut.. Smile I think you did good at 4 bones for the rig up on the trailer. You got any kind of a line on a engine? I can keep an eye open up here on the river if you want..

There is some sort of a big outdoorsman's swap meet in Omaha in Feb.
You can find a bunch of stuff at that thing to get you started. Now you will need to purchase a check it stic.. All of the trials of being a boater..

Bolt on a flag holder fly the Hawkeye colors proud.

I don't have any leads on an engine just yet. I am looking for a 20 or 25 hp motor in working order for less then $600 (including the gas money I would spend on gas if I were to travel outside of the Omaha area).

I am going to be buying a used 101lb thrust Minn Kota Maxxum from a guy off of Bass Boat Central for $500 plus half the shipping.

101 lb thrust should put that baby on plane - you may not need an outboard
