1 bass on a sprayed grass beaver in 2 ft of water. 2-3 on sexy shad KVD 1.5 in deeper waters, one on blue jig and blue chunk trailer. Missed a few nice ones on the beaver. Some hit like a freight train, others couldn't even hardly tell.

Thanks Will. Now, let's get some stories going. Who caught what, when, where, how and why?

Well, you can see What I caught and the When was 8 hours, the Where was windy points, the Why is I really don't now and the How is pure dumb luck I guess. You really had to bang them on the head with your bait other then that it was pure reaction bites. It just sucked this year down there.

Wow.. Looks like it was a tad bit tougher this year vs last.. What was the water level in the lake as compared to last etc..

Pipe. No fish = 0 fish points which is what is posted. But those who blanked do get 10 finish points toward the season total best 5 of 7 etc..

Started off the day watching another club launching boats. They had 10 boats fishing. My Last launch order that was 11 went to 21 in an instant. My game plan was to fish primary and secondary points until I could find something out. I hit a point with Nate Sr throwing jerkbaits, lipless crankbaits, and squrebills along the brush and timber. We stuck to that until 945 with no luck. The few next points were not as steep and had a long flat point. I decided to throw a jewel Eakins jig and craw outward down the point. A few casts later I hook into a 14 incher. We fish that point for another 30 minutes and decide to continue on to the next points. at 1140 we hit another set of points and notice a small cut. We decide to check it out even though the last cut we checked had 49 degree water when everything else was 52. this small cut was between two small points. As we get there I notice a beaverdam in 2-3ft of water. the cut is 4foot down the middle. Nate and I start flipping the cover then I see the line jump and move right. set the hook on a nice bass.
Nate Sr and I start throwing around in the creek some more. I feel the textbook thump on the jig and set the hook in the sister of the fish just slightly shorter and with a small chunk missing from the tail. After that we change our plan to hit the mainlake wood and rock for the rest of the tourny. around 130 we follow the wind and hit the points being hit with the15 mph winds. We find the inside of the rocks and throw around the mud edge churnned up by the wind. Nate Sr says "I like these banks with mud lines" As Im pulling away from the spot my Jewel jig starts moving I set the hook and find a 15 incher jumping and spiting my jig laughing in my face! discouraged we move on. around 230 we continue our plan with no results. we decide to go back to where we lost the last fish. 2nd cast there and whamo an 18 inch bass comes into the boat. water temp was 56 degrees there!

It was quite tough! but I was happy with the quality fish that I found. Just the right size. Crazy to think that these fish last year would have been in 7th place!

friday got on the water at 10 made a quick run around the lake to see what was up
stopped at dam throwing a jerk bait and quickly hooked up with a nice fish left there and went to some rock point and hoked up with a couple there
went into the trees with nothing
moved to more rock point and found fish
late in the day with the dead wind and warming air temps found a fish in the west end of the trees on a jig
friday was a good day had them pinned down on rocks and windy points

saturaday was dead calm warming water and air
fish had moved away from rock
went looking for fish with no avail
finally rob put one in the boat at 245 on a windy point in some really shallow trees
finished the day with no avail
blanked with no bites at all for me still a great day fishing
