Take notes at the meeting, because that's when we will all find out.

Good luck you guys. I am headed to Omaha this afternoon. Plan to go fish with Pipe someplace Saturday I guess. See if his net skills have improved any over the summer.

If you guys are in the area - swing on by the way-in so you can see all the big numbers that will be posted on Saturday (LOL).

Got toThe Vike at about 6, and found the lake in great shape. Only seen one Bass boat in the morning, and I guess he came off the campground ramp.
Started firing the Pop-R at the Pontoons. Stuck 1 or 2 dinks. Randy,Pitching a worm and The "Little Green jig" started pulling big clubs right away.
Went into the little cut at the end of the Toons and found it void of fish.
Changed plans to work brush piles, out a ways from the bank, and found the fish there.
Long story, short. I filled a card of clubs with one or two Mo's. Randy filled a card of Mo's with a 18 for a kicker.
Off the water at 1.
Great time. But that "Little Green jig" in the right hands. is hard to beat.

Does anyone know who makes and sells those special little green jigs, now that randy is out of business? Well maybe not out of business just to far to go get some every other day. Ha ha

I bet he could be talked into filling an order for you - might even be able to find a truck headed your way for delivery.

Getting back on topic -- that was a brutal one. Me and Uncle Jim counted boats as they left the launch area and decided there might be a bottleneck at the tube, so we headed to goose hunter cove. We pulled up on the brush piles and noticed right away that the water was different from a week earlier - Jim called it an algae bloom, but that didn't seem right for this time of year. Anyway, the fish were in the brush piles but the bite was so light it was almost impossible to detect and then they would get wrapped up in the brush making it difficult to get 'em out. We eventually moved up past the road bed but by this time it was getting crowded. Worked the point near the upper ramp where the channel swings into the bank but not enough to keep us there. Ran down to the campground bank where the channel swings in but the yahoo boaters were in full swing making it difficult to hold the boat long enough to do much in the deeper water. Headed on up to the tube, followed James and Bandon in - they went left and we went right. Finally caught my first one in the standing timber at around 11:15. Worked that area over pretty good and then headed back to goose hunter cove. Alternated between working brush and rock bank and picked up my second one at about 12:30. Both of my fish came in 2' or less of water (?). Had six that came unbuttoned on the way to the boat. Was glad to make it back to the ramp.

Congratulations to Bill, Brandon and James. Good job.
