Sunrise on 5/17 in Omaha is 6:03 AM. Sunrise in Des Moinse is 5:53. Sunrise in Minneapolis is 5:41 AM. 5:30 is a real possibility here, but it is going to be cold. I would vote for a 6 AM start time.

I believe we have about 2/3 of the spots in the cabins spoken for. 14 spots....9 reservations? Sounds about right. Plenty of time to decide...but get a call into one of the dave's to ensure a spot...

I like the Chili idea. I can put together a crock pot of the stuff. Mine is a bit on the spicy side though.

Fishers of Men is on 'Boji on this day as well. I believe they go off the ramp in Miniwashata though, so blast off won't be an issue. It might get pretty busy in the canals as the day goes on though.

I had a family deal come up that weekend, so won't be making this trip, 3rd year in a row I have missed this one. Have fun, will be looking for some reports on how it went!!!!!

Hey Prez, I believe hallaert mentioned to me on sat to have you throw his name on the list for boji cabins.

Fishers of men are there, but it almost seems like they typically do not have a ton of boats (10 or less from my recollection). Maybe I'm wrong. anyway, 10 extra boats on boji isn't hardly a drop in the bucket, except if it is like last year and 4 of the 6 club boats try to start in almost the exact same place!

Now that I think about it, I sure hope the "walleye opener" is not this weekend. Things will be VERY congested if that is the case. I hadn't thought of that until just now.

I know its still kinda early, but when is everyone planning to head up there? I'm thinking of taking both Thursday & Friday off work, and leaving Wed night or Thurs morning. I wouldnt be in such a hurry to get up there that early, but I have to head back after the tourney on Saturday (sister's graduation party), so I need to get all my fishing in while prefishing and the tournament. Last year was nice getting back out after the actual tournament and even Sunday morning.
