I am impressed with the number of large fish this pond put out last season.

Badger is very close to Des Moines. Sunrise in Des Moines on June 7th is 5:40 AM. Probably a good one to start at 5:30 in the morning.

Badger Creek is next up in our tournament series. We get to fish it in just two and a half weeks. I would guess we will find some bass still spawning? But my guess is that most will be done and have moved off? Spawning and early post spawn patterns are two tough patterns to catch fish in. What will it take to bring home the bacon?

If I could choose, Id fish with Big Rooster for this one. Last year his non-boater boated a pair of 19+s if Im not mistaken. Spawn should be wrapped up by then (probably sooner), and the hungry bass will be in prespawn mode, hopefully going nice and deep! Sharpen up the jigs and rooster tails, this one should be fun.

I am planning to take about a half day of work, probably take off around noon that day. Planning probably to camp at the lake and monitor the folks who like to sit around the camp fire so they dont leave it a mess again, lol.

I have Friday the 6th off as well. I may stop and fish Anita on the way to Badger, haven't decided yet. I understand there is a road bed on this lake, is that right?

I am not sure it will come into play. June has not been very good for this lake based on past SBBC events and the road bed usually doesn't come into play until later in the summer. But then again, this is a different year. Someone is sure to find them, maybe on the road bed, maybe not. We will know in a few weeks time.

I've told a few folks offline, but wanted to post it on here publicly to enter me as a boater for Badger, as I most likely will not be at the meeting tomorrow. Thanks!

With sunrise at 5:40 it will be plenty light out by 5:30. Do we get to see the Pipe/Moose act in person at the ramp after the event?

Are we cooking anything at the ramp Friday night? If not I'll stop for a bucket of chicken necks..

Well, on this event I think everyone should relay there story, so it can be entered into the History books for all time.
I'll start,
John had a plan, we checked out a old Beaver dam way down the lake that held fish last year and John thought it might be a good starting point this year.
We pre-fished it Friday and found the water to be a little muddy (probably from the 5" of rain they just had). We fired for around an hour without a tap, and left it as not to disturb the MUD.
So right from Blast off we ran to the dam and John caugh a fish. The End Confused
